Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai, visited and presented Tet gifts to workers in Ba Ria – Vung Tau

On the morning of January 22, in the atmosphere of celebrating the Party and the New Year of the Dragon 2024, the Central Working Delegation led by Politburo member, Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai, visited and wished a Happy New Year to workers, businesses, and poor households in the province.

Reporting to the Working Group on the situation of caring for and preparing for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tho said that immediately after the Secretariat issued Directive No. 26, dated November 23, 2023 on “Organizing the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024”, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee promptly issued Directive No. 53, dated December 5, 2023 for implementation; at the same time, thoroughly disseminated to Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units, and localities to organize services for people to enjoy Spring and welcome the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, ensuring joy, health, safety, economy, humanity, leaving no one behind.

Implementing the Directive of the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, departments, branches, sectors, unions, and localities have proactively developed plans, coordinated the organization of activities to care for Tet; mobilized and mobilized social resources, established delegations to visit and give gifts to policy families, meritorious people, the poor, ethnic minorities, workers, and laborers, with a total support and subsidy budget of more than 262 billion VND.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tho, the work of serving the Lunar New Year 2024 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province is taking place very proactively, closely following the plan, ensuring that everyone, every household enjoys Spring and celebrates Tet healthily, economically, safely, in accordance with the direction of the Secretariat.

Tet support and subsidies are implemented synchronously, promptly, publicly, transparently and directly to beneficiaries by all levels and sectors, ensuring compliance with regulations, avoiding wrong spending, omissions and duplicate beneficiaries. In addition to the allocated budget, most levels, sectors and localities have proactively mobilized other legal funding sources to provide additional support to poor households and social protection beneficiaries, especially families in difficult circumstances.

Many activities to celebrate the Party and Spring

In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tho also reported to the Central Working Group on the preparation and organization of activities to celebrate the Party and Spring 2024 to serve people to have a joyful, healthy and safe Tet holiday such as: Ba Ria – Vung Tau Program – Imprint 2023 – Welcome the New Year of the Dragon 2024 on New Year’s Eve. Organizing art programs and fireworks to welcome the New Year with 9 shooting points in 8/8 districts, towns and cities from socialized funding sources.

Expressing her joy at the preparation and care for Tet for poor households, workers, laborers in difficult circumstances, families with meritorious services, etc., Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai praised the Provincial Party Committee, Fatherland Front, Trade Union and socio-political organizations of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province for their thoughtful care, creating conditions for the people of Ba Ria – Vung Tau to celebrate Tet warmly.
